Job Title: Maintenance Specialist
Department: Maintenance
Location: Mason City
Hours: 1st shift 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Mon. – Thur. & Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am and overtime as required.
2nd Shift 3:30pm to 1:00am Mon. – Thur. & Friday 10:00 am to 2:00pm and overtime as required.

Job Duties:
- Runs conduit, pulls wire, calculates power, voltage, and amperage, wire size, circuit breaker size, and fuse size.
- Follows and understands National Electric Code and OSHA regulations.
- Understands PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoots electrical problems with machines or utility equipment. Analyzes and makes any necessary improvements independently.
- Documents history reports on any machines to file. Documents changes in manuals as needed.
Knowledge of the operation of all machines and inventory of parts.
- Assists on any mechanical installations, repairs, bearing changes, dust collection, fabrication, small power tools.
- Continuous communication with engineering on new idea implementations, coordination, and feasibility for production improvements.
- Maintains preventative maintenance as it applies to specific equipment.
- This job requires regular, predictable full-time attendance and all overtime as production requires
- Opens building, turns on lights, starts utility equipment as needed before production starts.
Perform all types of tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Industrial Electrical training, or 2 or more years experience and knowledge of 3 phase industrial circuits, and controls.
- Industrial hydraulics and pneumatics training, or 2 or more years experience and knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic sys.
- Industrial training, or 2 or more years experience and working knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Forklift operator.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to be detailed and precise.
- High school or technical school education, or equivalent experience/training.
- Considerable mental and visual effort.
- Must be a team player, willing to assist in all areas as required.
- Ability to recognize tools and parts for different types of machines.
- Ability to recognize and correct any safety issues.
Please note: Employees must provide their own basis tools for performing repair work through the facilities.
