Job Title: Maintenance Specialist
Department: Maintenance
Location: Northwood
Hours: 1st shift 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Mon. – Thur. & Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am and overtime as required.
2nd Shift 3:30pm to 1:00am Mon. – Thur. & Friday 12:00 pm to 4:00pm and overtime as required.

Job Duties:

• Runs conduit, pulls wire, calculates power, voltage, and amperage, wire size, circuit breaker size, and fuse size.
  
• Follows and understands National Electric Code and OSHA regulations.
  
• Understands PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  
• Troubleshoots electrical problems with machines or utility equipment. Analyzes and makes any necessary improvements independently.
  
• Documents history reports on any machines to file. Documents changes in manuals as needed.
  Knowledge of the operation of all machines and inventory of parts.
  
• Assists on any mechanical installations, repairs, bearing changes, dust collection, fabrication, small power tools.
  
• Continuous communication with engineering on new idea implementations, coordination, and feasibility for production improvements.
  
• Maintains preventative maintenance as it applies to specific equipment.
  
• This job requires regular, predictable full-time attendance and all overtime as production requires
  
• Opens building, turns on lights, starts utility equipment as needed before production starts.
  Perform all types of tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Industrial Electrical training, or 2 or more years experience and knowledge of 3 phase industrial circuits, and controls.
  
• Industrial hydraulics and pneumatics training, or 2 or more years experience and knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic sys.
  
• Industrial training, or 2 or more years experience and working knowledge of HVAC systems.
  
• Forklift operator.
  
• Ability to work flexible hours.
  
• Ability to be detailed and precise.
  
• High school or technical school education, or equivalent experience/training.
  
• Considerable mental and visual effort.
  
• Must be a team player, willing to assist in all areas as required.
  
• Ability to recognize tools and parts for different types of machines.
  
• Ability to recognize and correct any safety issues.
