Doors - Fire Rated Door Construction

A Woodharbor Fire Rated Door matches the construction of our standard residential/commercial door in most respects. Listed below are some of the construction features of the 20 Minute Fire Rated door.

STILES:

Woodharbor Fire Rated Doors have 6" wide outside stiles instead of 4 3/4" wide stiles like most of our standard, non-rated doors. Stiles are constructed from veneered lumber-core and then profiled with the customer's profile selection.

RAILS:

Woodharbor Fire Rated Doors have 4 3/4" wide rails (except for Hampstead) with an 8" wide lock rail and bottom rail (matching our standard, non-rated doors). The bottom rail can be modified to 10" or 12" for ADA requirements if needed. Rails are crafted of veneered lumber-core and then profiled with the customer's profile selection.

PANELS:

Woodharbor Fire Rated Doors have thicker panels than our standard, non-rated doors. For Raised Panel door styles, the panel thickness is 1 1/4". For Newport, Kendleton, and Brittany door styles, the flat panel thickness is 3/4".

FINISH AVAILABILITY:

Woodharbor Fire Rated Doors are available unfinished or factory finished with a premium catalyzed conversion varnish finish system.
